Strive
for Five, working with Utah Jazz forward Carlos Boozer and the American Lung Association
of Utah, is a campaign to raise money for Utah’s Open Airways for Schools program.
The American Lung Association’s “Open Airways for Schools” is an innovative asthma
education program designed to help children learn to manage their asthma, resulting
in their attending class more often and less time in the emergency room.
With Strive for Five, students are encouraged to collect money to help fund the Open Airways for Schools program. The student that that raises the most money will sit in a lower bowl seat with a parent or guardian to see a Jazz game, the teacher of the class that raises the most money will sit behind the Jazz bench. All who raise $50 will receive one movie ticket; those who raise $75 will receive one movie ticket, popcorn and a soft drink! The school that collects the most money will receive an appearance from Carlos Boozer at their school. |
